Summer '19

21/11/2019

Every once in a while, an artist appears seemingly out of nowhere that captures the mood of a generation. This time, the spotlight falls on Preston, Lancashire where Christian Alexander has spent his time at the bottom of his garden - writing, recording and producing music that perfectly encapsulates what it’s like to be part of a youth lost in a contradictory, uncertain world.

Building on the success of his last project Summer ‘17, Christian’s second full-length captures the acute loneliness of adolescence in compelling form. With his latest release, “Summer ‘19” he speaks to an entire generation creating an all-too-familiar world of introspection, intrigue and aching emotion.

Both projects highlight just how much of a fascinating creator Christian Alexander, whose prolific nature has led to us witnessing his development in real time, is. Featuring his two recent singles ‘Lemonade’ and ‘Someday, Sometime’ his beautiful and sparse compositions have marked him out as one of the most unique voices of 2019 and clearly one to watch for 2020.
